At Metro Minis (kid's church) Alexander has been hearing stories of what God has done in people's lives that you can tell to other people. For example he was told of a lady with a growth that got smaller and smaller because God healed her.
He asked me today what I have seen God do. After nearly 20 years of being a Christian I was (sadly) somewhat stumped for the 'big things' and tried to answer along the lines that God does little things all the time. I then said, 'well actually, you're something God did. Daddy and I wanted a baby so we asked God and we got you'. He said 'well EVERYONE's got those stories!'. That obviously didn't rate!
So I suggested he ask God to do something special for him that he can tell other people about. We worked through a basic prayer along those lines. A few minutes later he said 'you know what would be really cool if God did?' 'What?' I say. 'Well if i get dinner that I don't like (which seems to be a lot!) it would be really cool if God could eat it for me'!! hehe. Well it will be interesting to see how God answers that one!!
I can't wait to see how God answers that prayer for Alexander as he has no doubt that He will answer!
